I’ve been using this acne cream that burns my skin and also makes me more prone to sun burning but it’s the only thing stopping my skin from breaking out. I’ve been wanting to hop on taz but I’m also saving up for GH so I can’t afford both.

Find a better cream, that acne cream isn't compatible with your skin.

Well I have shit tier skin so most other creams can’t save my oily ass skin. So it’s either have acne and not have side effects or have no acne but have side effects

Accutane only thing that worked for me. if not try ditching everything and just fix your gut by good diet and get sunlight, drink water. I have spent thousands over the years on skincare. IT DOES NOT WORK. just save your money and fix your diet and lifestyle.

What ingredients does this cream have and how long as you been using it for?

If it's a retinoid then that's just your skin purging, if it's been less than 6 weeks then wait it out, if it's been more than switch to something gentler.

Also yeah, you should be using sun production regardless of what cream you're using, but it is particularly important when using exfoliants or retinoids.

It has adapalene gel and benzoyl peroxide and other shit. I tried adapelene gel by itself but it didn’t really do much and the cream I had had a higher concentration of adapalene gel in it.

okay yeah, adapaline is a retinoid, and benzoyl is basically just to kill the bacteria that may be making your acne worse. So, again, how long have you been using this for? Less or more than 4 weeks?

Do you use it in the morning or at night? Are you using sunscreen? Are you moisturizing?

I’m currently off it rn but the longest I had used it for was like a week and a half when I had a bad break out and the skin sensitivity was crazy

I’m moisturizing and used it at night. Also I don’t wear sunscreen cuz I don’t have a good quality one

If you had issues with Adapalene then Tazarotene isn't going to be any easier for you.

If you had skin sensitivity, peeling, redness, burning, etc., then that's just retinoid purging, it happens whether you're using adapalene, tretinoin, Accutane or tazarotene, it's normal, and the only thing you can do about it is wait it out. It lasts between 4 and 6 weeks, but it's worth it in the end.

What sunscreen you use is completely up to you, I've tried like 5-6 sunscreen, that I've seen on YouTube, some recommended by friends, one by my aunt, but they often broke me out or left a white cast.

I ended up settling for Anthelios 60 by La Roche Posay, it's sadly a chemical sunscreen, but that's what has worked so far. But again, that's just what works for me, you can try that one, you can try other chemical ones, you can try mineral ones, and see what sticks. Just make sure to use sunscreen.
