Microdosing isnt really needed or worth it unless there is a specific clinical reason, such as treating mild acne. Taking isotretinoin at a higher dose usually leads to faster and more noticeable improvements and can help achieve a higher cumulative dose, which goes hand in hand with increasing the chance of long-term remission.

Low dose isotret= slower improvements with fewer side effects.

High dose isotret= Faster and more noticeable improvements with more side effects.

Cumulative dosing information: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26187395/
