Mini Cooper S Series for a mixture of reliability + fun + looks + price (you can find a halfway decent used one under 5,000 USD) ... I've had this car for about a year ... very good on gas, no issues so far besides a new battery and standard wear and tear. lost my virginity in this car too !! and very speedy ... lots of compliments.

Any East Asian (Japanese, Korean, etc) Nissan ... Toyota and etc, for reliability and price. Many American popularized car brands, such as Ford, Dodge, etc, are built with planned obsolescence in mind ... meaning the product is built to last only so long ... before you have to pay for pricey repairs and or buy a new product (in this case a car) altogether.

Don't be like my friend who bought a used 2013 Chevy Impala for 3,000$ and had the engine die on him 2 months into his purchase lol ... FUCK AMERICAN CAR BRANDS ...

Obviously, a Toyota or whatever would be more reliable than my Mini Coop ... but the Mini is still far more reliable than the average American car ...
