Bone loss and lack of collagen. I would take bone supplements and tretinoin if you were trying to prevent it.

Could dental extractions cause it

smile less and collagen. It's literally called smile lines. Yeah it's annoying if somehow I will be able to avoid them I'll be next Chuando Tan, for real

There's different kinds of nasolabial folds, there's those that naturally form from smiling but you still retain a youthful look and the other that gives a sunken look, the latter occurs from natural bone loss that happens with age

It's definitely a bone issue, but not everyone can fix it without surgery, mewing might work as mpmd did it well into adulthood, but he's an example of terrible mouth posture to begin and sleep apnea.

Bone doesn’t just melt unless you have extractions or periodontitis

No but it's positioning can be altered, as I said not everyone will get enough out of mewing to fix it.

Skin can contribute, but middle third misalignment is likely the main cause, something which probably needs surgery but mewing could improve it if you're lucky.

he doesn't look like surgerymaxed even though if he's actually. If he has done something his surgeon is amazing.

mewing is just a mandatory unconscious thing for life. I don't think u need put any effort at some point.
I'm afraid of bone loss is there anything to prevent it other than mewing?

They seem to become more pronounced in people who talk, smile or laugh a lot, if you talk little and keep a mostly neutral expression on your face, they won't be very noticeable, it's like you're on botox all the time.

Its sagging fat pads. I have studied this extensively at this point. Good Bones help but it eventually happens to everyone. Look at Delon and Chico. Only fix is surgery to lift the fat pads, and then you get some fat or filler to mask it. Remember you cant use filler to lift. In your 30s and shit you can use some filler to mask it. PierreBoo does it, but in your 40s consider a facelift. and when you get a facelift get everything, bleph, lip lift (maybe), browlift. Its an all in one combo with the face and neck lift.

Yea limiting facial expressions and like proper neck posture help a ton too

A user here said depending on your bone structure (some asians) you’ll never really develop them I’ll try to find the thread

I mean like you will eventually. Like all old people have them unless they get faceliftings.

Without his cpap and mouth tape he's a mouth breather and snores with his mouth open

He no longer sleeps with his mouth open, even if his tongue isn't on his roof at all or even at night it shows proof of concept thst a difference in facial posture can change its structure

And he said he mewed as well

It conceptually gives merit to mewing and having good facial posture makes you look good all day even if it does nothing permanently

dented nasal base, normal feature in anatomically modern skulls.

forward growth is technically a deformity.

Multiple reasons but one that hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet I think is losing your facial fat pads.

People lose their facial fat pads from aging, heavy weight loss regimens to around sub 10% bodyfat region and usage of androgenic compounds
