Also i know u need a caloric deficit im just wondering what exercise is more efficient

You need to lift weights. Lifting will promote fat loss, slightly speed up your metabolism, and preserve muscle during your cut. If you are a noob you can even make some gains during your cut.

You need to be in a calorie deficit to lose bodyfat. If you eat 500 less calories than maintenance you will burn 3500 calories in body fat per week, which is one pound. Cardio burns calories, and allows you to eat more while staying in a calorie deficit. For example you can burn approx. 500 calories by going on a 10k step walk, which allows you to eat 500 calories more everyday you walk while staying in a calorie deficit. Or, you could eat 500 calories under maintenance and burn 500 through cardio. You are now in a 1000 calorie deficit and you will lose 2 pounds a week. You do not need cardio to lose weight, it just a tool you can use to support your fat loss.

Focus more on Weightlifting but do Cardio too. Most important is diet tho
