I thought it varies based on a 2:1 ratio of chin height roughly. Although every face will be a bit different, that's the average.

Whatever it is mine isn't, even though I'm almost 2:1. So I guess shorter the better unless you look like your face was smashed together.

My philtrum got longer within months, presumably because I built up masseters too much, which resulted in CW rotation of the anterior maxilla. Upper lip looks thinner too.
