does wrist growth plates really capture growth of tibia and femurs? do your wrists actually stop growing at the same time as your legs?
growth plates close in a bottom to top order, starting from the legs, then progressing through the spine

So if the growth plates of the wrists have closed, then the growth plates in the legs have definitely closed? interesting.

Okay but if the wrist growth plates are open, you can extrapolate how much taller you'll grow right? Or is it just a basic diagnostic to establish if you are growing at all?

Hopefully, one day you'll say that to someone in real life and see what happens.
I was responding to someone else who said it was bottom to top. I was trying to find out what it meant if it were true.
