when you post useful stuff or stuff people like, theyll leave a thumbs up (rep) this is displayed on your profile and a lot of people will judge you based on the amount of reps you have in comparison to the amount of posts you have; since high posts and low reps indicate a bad user who doesnt post anything of value. dont focus on your reps and just contribute to people
