What’s the consensus on being born?

On one hand you have the opportunity to experience love, sex, adventure and all the amazing wonderful gifts that life bring. However, you also experience pain, suffering, despair, loss and death.

On the other hand, non existence brings nothing. You never experience anything at all and you’ll never know it because “you” is not even a thing.


Well, anyway, it doesn’t matter. I’m here and i have to go through the motions of life because I had to be born. I guess that faggot from the matrix said it best;

Me too. But those things don’t seem so bad if it’s all you know. If you know what the good feels like then you experience these things after, it hurts more. I think of it like darkness. If you spend every day in a dark room, you’ll adjust to it and you won’t even know anything else besides that so it wouldn’t be so bad. But if you experience light and sun and then are thrown into a dingy dark room, it’ll be a darkness like no other.
