One is caused my malnourishment and almost always accompanied with subhuman collagen and the other is caused by ideal craniofacial bone structure (altough even with the psl gods it can only be seen in certain lighting)

IRL, the majority of hollow cheeks' look exactly like OP stated: MALNOURISHED.
A big PROPORTIONATE chin would make a LOT more difference than cheek hollows.
