It's really annoying, I have to keep turning the setting off because it sets worse photos as my main one because of this.

My theory as to why why it happens is because after going though the rest of your photos / bio, they don't scroll back up to your top / first photo to swipe right, so the algorithm decides that the photo they are currently looking at is the one they like the most, therefore that must be your best photo.

I found when I used best photo I got less interest, even when women have told me that their favorite was a different photo compared to my main (although I also found when I put my main photo at the end, women would ask me why it's not the first).
