Considering posting on crowdfunding platforms to fund surgeries.

On one hand, the more ugly/deformed you look, the more people would want to donate to help you out (since you look like you really need the surgery).

On the other hand, the halo effect makes it so people are more inclined to donate to you the more conventionally attractive you are.

What tier of looks gets you the most money on crowdfunding platforms such as GoFundMe?

I ask because I can use lighting, angles, hair, and makeup to make myself look uglier or more attractive for the photos to post on crowdfunding sites.
