Fear that the next spawn (if there is one) will be a worse one than the one you currently have [if we're talking about the human species alone (because who knows where and as what and in what circumstances and contexts you will appear in reality again, other than the human species), they see the children in Africa/other 3rd world countries, the human trafficking, the extreme poverty that so many people suffer from, the horrible diseases or disabilities that other people have to live with etc. and realize it was just a percentage game for the fact that they are not in those circumstances now, but they live the life you describe, which doesn't sound that bad now in comparison]

2. You're going to die anyway, so why not enjoy the good things in life while it lasts (everything else aside, it still feels good when you eat, sleep, pee, shower, do sports, etc.).
