What's the point of following people?

Is their icon supposed to show up on threads they're in? Because only mine shows up for that, which I find odd, but I had the same thing for my old account. It seems more like a contacts list than anything.

It's a largely pointless feature, and I explain why that is in this post.

Having a follow would mean much much more if it had functionality other than flooding the news feed with whatever posts are reacted by who you follow. It makes the news feed to messy to even be usable and messy with information that you wouldn't be keen on knowing anyway.

It's a big shame, because I don't like missing new threads from my favorite members!

What we need is a high-IQ member like @thecel to fix site functionality, or correct it by making a browser extension.
