I have never actually been scared of a movie, I just subcontiously know it's all theatre so I legit feel nothing, I only get "scared" at some jumpscares but thats mostly because they are just always so fucking loud. I have been truly disgusted by a movie tho but thats a whole other thing.

Western remakes of Jap horror flicks are the only thing truly good to come out of the West for that genre since the 90's. That leaves you with an extremely limited selection.

The West doesn't do horror anymore like they did in the 80's and 90's with movies Pet Cemetery. They don't give you the same feeling except for early 2000 films like The Ring.

I should mention, Hereditary is my favourite because it doesn't rely on jump scares, yet it fucked me up for the following days after watching

Also watch Requiem for a Dream. It's not classed as a horror movie, but it's very much a horror movie. This one really fucked me up

I don't know, the worst horror movies are just soft gore for normies

Any video on gore websites puts any horror movie to shame

I'm totally desensitized when I watch a horror movie, even jump scares barely get a reaction out of me, I find them more amusing, lol

On the other hand, a video like the one below, which is 8 minutes long, is far more disturbing and leaves me with an extremely strange feeling in my chest and mind, judging by what is about to happen to this girl, her reaction to everything that is happening, the fact that she is young and around my age.. it is far more horrific than anything I have seen in any dumb horror movie.. (or any gore movie in general)

Not to mention videos where it's just sexual assault and.. yeah.. good luck girl..
