Recruiters and HR were hit the most. But also other tech positions like product owners, business analysts and software engineers.

I keep seeing posts on LinkedIn how these laid off people complain that every posted job has 100+ applicants in the first 1 hour.

And these unemployed people are coping in the comments that they just need to stand out and they'll make it.

What's the truth, do they need to get new skill and switch industry? All I see is copium all over LinkedIn

But I think that most of these local tech jobs were bullshit jobs to start with, and they just disappeared.

Most of new hires in tech now are being done using informal methods (nepotism, networking), and networking is mosty PSL. So it could be really true.

I guess it's kind of true but PSL points isn't that big an advantage for tech jobs
I think once it got saturated and easy (not much skills needed), PSL points are needed in tech jobs now.

But you can still switch to trades and earn livable wage at this point. Riight??

Yeah probably you want to have PSL points for networking and just more ease, and for sure NT I'd argue is just as if not more important.

Even trades?? Then what's not saturated?

How do people not starve in a couple of years?
its not hes retarted trades are helkla good rn probably the best

Im going into tech but from the IT/security angle not the programming angle

bro really said trades is to saturated :lul:
Where I live you call plumber and they don't take a job if it's not serious enough, they say fix it yourself he doesn't have time for small gigs.
