This forum seems to have an opinion that that ‘9 to 5’ job messes you up. Also almost every youth-centric movie by far I’ve seen depicts 9 to 5 workers as depressed, grumpy and joyless.

Those jobs are alway portrayed as a passion-killer and monotonous while conveniently only showing us the one side of coin i.e. freedom and adventure.

They never show the terror in freaking out with one meal a day, unstable income, irregular sleeps etc.

People consider academic jobs to be boring while cultural professions to be fascinating. What they don't realise is, the world cannot progress without academics and there are people who actually like these types of jobs and having a routine. Most people live monotonous life and enjoy it with some breaks in between. For most people life is not a rollercoaster....

you are right, but most people don't care about advancing society anymore, they understand instinctively we are in transitory times. we are on the brink of many different froms of collapse. stability is good for the growth phase of society. we are in the end phase of it

It's because you're in your 20's and you should fuck bitches and make memories instead of wageslaving

Depends on the job, can't imagine having a 9 to 5 job flipping burgers for 10 years.

Most people here haven't started working yet so they cope with their "bro you can't make money if you work for someone you have to be your own boss bro" fantasies

commit crimes and try to profit off the decline. hide your money in bitcoin and gold, and then hop on every welfare.

Wageslaving destroys the individualistic cope that we all have some unique purpose.

At the end of the day, we're all cogs in a machine trying to satiate supply and demand.

Tell that to women lusting after good looking millionaire celebrities and dismissing "academic" normies as loser cucks. Even medicine and law aren't impressive in 2022.

Athlete, actor, successful entrepreneur millionaire or death

the only thing that matters is looks the millionaire thing is irrelevant.

progress has done nothing positive for human beings as individuals, it only helps the species innovate itself into extinction.

In my experience, they're way too underpaid for the amount of effort required to put in. It's very exhausting to have to wake up by 8AM and be logged into the system. Also, potential micromanagement.

But above all, they're just not worth it due to the underpayment.

just about everything but if you can get paid well to the point of investing a significant part of your income, don't have to interact with imbecile normans and the job is reasonably enjoyable then it's not so bad
