For something to be "fumbled" there must of been something established, something must of started as fumbling is losing that opportunity that is down streamed from something beggining. Think of this, you are in a stranded island, with a match and an empty campfire. The ignition of the match marks the beggining, fumbling would be DROPPING the match and destroying its flame. BUT for me, THE MATCH WAS NEVER THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE, THERE IS NO "FUMBLING" FOR MY BONES.

now i see that in your case it is tragic, mental health crippling but it is your fault for DROPPING THE MATCH. As a suggestion, next time hold the match MORE FIRMLY.
