If they said something bad about you that could ruin your image then I think it is actually the best course of action, making them apologize shows you have strength and you're in charge. If it was just some offhanded joke then it just makes you seem crazy.

Anthony Warner thought he could give them a fight. Downtown happened to him. Ironically, in front of the Melting Pot. Though no one understood that besides it being a restaurant. And the press believed he did it to himself. Which metaphorically speaking, he did.

I need to clarify what I typed above so it cant be taken out of context. Anthony Warner, IMO, pissed off the wrong people. The guy was too much of a coward to kill himself in that sort of way. And the people who did that to him, cared about the general public thus to a loudspeaker warning everyone to back away from the vehicle along with a countdown. Like something you'll see in the movies. All choreographically designed. Though the press backed away from their gut feeling that something wasn't right. Why?
