When are braces not needed prior to BIMAX

I apparently have a Class 2 Division 2, whatever the fuck that means.

However, my bite seems to fit together nicely, there is no noticeable overjet or underjet so to speak.

Will I need braces before a BIMAX?

Then again, I have been going to the dentist every 6 months since I was born, and not once have they mentioned braces to me.
