No one excercise is 100% neccesary. Generally speaking if you focus on compound lifts and getting stronger on them youll get bigger, being lean is just to do with your diet and not your workout routine. If youre just starting out in the gym do squats, deadlifts, OHP, Bench press and deadlifts all in one workout. Do that for 6 months or so till you have some decent strength then switch to a push pull legs routine thats gonna enable you to add in some more isolation work like curls, lateral raises, some incline pressing, rows etc. Again theres no exact specific excercises you absolutely must do, but focus on compounds and getting stronger, do isolations like raises and curls at the end of your workout after doing the compounds since theyre less fatiguingsrs bro? Jfl this is so complicated. I’m just gonna do a bunch of compound lifts and some isolation workouts at the end for 6 months like the dude above me mentioned
The thing is it doesnt really matter what sort of workout programme youre doing. What matters is youre consistent with it and that youre able to increases weight/reps on the compound excercises week to week, month to month. If you get stronger you will get bigger, I can gurantee it, so just focus on getting the stronger and the muscle will come in timeView attachment 223366@PrettyBoyMaxxing
