Firstly Cuban is hyper Status conscious, so he is not representative of most billionaires. Secondly, by 'rich' I think you mean super rich Billionaire class, the top 0.01% of humans, not the top 1% or so of humans as most people would define rich.

There are only so many fancy clothes and cars a super rich person can buy to flex. Beyond that the only way they can spend their enormous wealth and differentiate themselves from the pedestrian rich is to buy multiple mansions, yachts, jets and to join exclusive clubs. And there in is the trap of great wealth...

These giant symbols of wealth require a small army of service people to maintain them. It is going to take a staff of 5-10 service people just to maintain one such mansion. Add in the people you need to employ to maintain the boats, cars and airplanes, and the security staff and the layer of management above that, you have 30-50 people working for you. Most of those are going to be immigrants because that is who works servant jobs in the US in 21st Century. You quickly come to the realization that one of these people could sneak up on you and cut your throat.

The best way to mitigate this threat is to adopt a public political stance that the servants are sympathetic towards.
