Very debatable, some say they took over with the trans-Atlantic slave trade in a sense, some say it happened in the 1910s when they got America to join WWI. Though, most would agree it was the period from the Great Depression all the way to the 60s were they made the US their bitch and sealed white America's fate. Personally I'd say that they were long planning the slow and steady destruction of the US, but that it truly took off with America's engagement in WWI.
