When ethnics/multiracials say "they stay away from tanning to avoid skin cancer", do you think this is a cope?

Is this a cope?

I'm multiracial and try my best to avoid sun tanning as I don't want skin cancer. If I have to be outside in the hot sun I always cover up with SPF50+, a baggy t-shirt/polo shirt, and baggy cargo shorts/trousers, and I ALWAYS wear a hat, unless if I'm at a beach swimming then I wear swimshorts.

because as a white skinned person i dont stay away from sun because of skin cancer, i believe that diet is a huge part of whether you get it or not

I remember @Prettyboy claiming we're generally self-hating and we're saying it as an excuse to remain lighter.
He's a deathniK himself.
