When were you able to grow a thick beard?

Title. I am 19 and still can't grow a full beard. Only a very patchy one with less density. Should I use minoxidil for a beard?

I'm patchy at the moment myself. I'll stay clean shaven until I can afford minoxdil, and then start growing it out.

My father didn’t grow a thick beard until 27, but now he has to shave every morning. It’s actually kind of amazing, he shaves it in the morning and then by night I’ll see his beard already growing back.

Early sign was when I was 13 later around 14-15 I was able to grow full beard I remember how my seniors would envy beard genetics and ask me what was my secret
As of now I trim it and create a light designer stubble to give hollow cheeks illusion
