I was advised by market "experts" to invest in junior gold mining stocks because, in the past, these small companies have done up to 1,000X returns within a couple of years.
That got me excited, so I bought one of these companies and have held it for over a year and a half now, and the most I've gotten is 6X returns. I should've cashed out and been happy, but instead I kept holding the stock until its price plummeted to less than what I bought it for. So, now, I'm under water.
Where the fuck is my money?? Where are the exponential returns I was promised???
Why is it that every time I hear about a financial opportunity, it's gone?
If I wanted anemic, stock-like returns, I would have bought a large-cap growth company, not a micro-cap junior gold mining stock.
