that ideal proportions for men are around 1:1
untrue, high fashion stylists will literally dress u in a way that makes your legs appear longer

I know which study you're citing but you didn't read it.

almost every study that exists indicates that ideal proportions for men are around 1:1
look at ching chong culture (anecdotal) they like 1,90 kpop stars with long legs

Btw look at botb submission thread pls :ogre:

they repeated the same experiment in japan and it yielded the same results: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10508-015-0635-9

it's also been performed on american women https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5990728/ and also brittish women but I don't have that one saved.

excessive deviations from 1:1 were seen as indicative of disease

high fashion models don't appeal to normal people.

Makes sense tbh bcs averageness mogs as an attractiveness indicator

there's studies that show that 'longer than average' legs in raw size is also ideal but this means nothing on paper as you can still have 1:1 proportions with above average legs if your torso is comparatively long.

some people that aren't scientifically literate confuse this for them saying long legs are ideal, if you have long everything you have long nothing, you're just tall at that point.

Dont have to be a model to hire a stylist from there

This one, from Cambridge University? Although it was performed on Americans

"Leg-to-body ratio (LBR) predicts evolutionary fitness, and is
therefore expected to influence bodily attractiveness. Previous
investigations of LBR attractiveness have used a wide variety
of stimuli, including line drawings, silhouettes, and computergenerated images based on anthropometric data. In two studies, community samples of heterosexual women from the USA rated the attractiveness of male figures presented as silhouettes and as detailed computer-generated images with three different skin tones (white, black, and an artificial grey). The effects of LBR depended on the image format. In particular,
a curve-fitting analysis indicated that the optimally-attractive LBR for silhouettes was fractionally below the baseline, whereas the optima for more detailed computer-generated images was approximately 0.5 s.d. above the baseline and was similar for all three skin-tones. In addition, the participants’s ensitivity to changes in the LBR was lowest for the silhouettesa nd highest for the grey figures. Our results add to evidencet hat the most attractive LBR is close to, but slightly above, the population mean, and caution that the effects of limb proportions on attractiveness depend on the ecological validity
of the figures."

Summary:

The study concludes that an ideal leg-to-body ratio for attractiveness is typically slightly above average, but the perception of this ratio is influenced by factors like image detail and skin tone. This further supports the idea that evolutionary fitness signals, like LBR, influence attractiveness, although the context and realism of the image matter significantly in determining this perception.

the results of that study are around 1:1, 0.5 is negligible and you can't tell the difference in reality.

; the black figures received lower ratings than all other formats

almost spat out my food.

yeah yeah nigger

one thing for sure tho, 10x better to have long legs than short legs

proportionally no, because you can wear lifts, you can't artificially extend your spine.

Hahaahaha

im making a case argument for 50-55% nothing more than that btw

not just legs with a small torso slammed on them, just legs a bit longer
50-55% i mean if we split ur body in a 100% between ur legs and torso

niggers gonna be wearing lifts indoors and at the beach mirin tbh

it looks like the same thing in real life, I'd argue no one can tell the difference between 45-55 in motion.

the study you cited also states that: Conversely, excessively long legs are associated with harmful genetic diseases, such as Marfan syndrome[29,30].

models are dressed to make products stand out, jeans/pants are one of the main products they market, it doesn't mean that's attractive.

women do this why can't I.

there's studies that say using umbrellas is associated with lower brain cancer possibilities, associations in studies, especially association studies are iffy

u can tell the diff definitely if you can see both clearly

Small torso is a low t bad genetic trait. And you can't even lengthen your legs when you have it. I don't anderstand why most people's vote for it

Long legs is associated with high E2, and is a good evolutionary trait for girls, and a bad one for males.
