Which country would you rather live in?

A wealthy country with high living standards (think Norway, Switzerland, Arab Peninsula, ...) where you could have a decent life but you wouldnt really be rich OR a poorer country with generally lower living standards where your money would go further (SEA, South and Latin America, EE).

Then I'd argue there's a lot in the middle like the med region.

Try being rich in Rio De Janeiro. Wealth inequality correlates HEAVILY with violent crime on innocent civilians.
