Which device to get for recessed jaw

I am going to the ortho soon bcs of my recessed jaw i was thinking of getting an herbst appliance but then i read in an another thread that the herbst appliance will give u a recessed maxilla and wont fic the recessed jaw. So idk which device to get. Do yall have any idea whats best?

not true, if overbite/underbite braces will balance out the position in which the teeth lay which will correct the general position of the jaw

ur thinking of the herbst appliance which he said he doesnt wanna get in the original post

not true, if overbite/underbite braces will balance out the position in which the teeth lay which will correct the general position of the jaw

they work magic for underbites, but most orthodontists won't do the things necessary in order to correct an overbite massively unless its very severe

i mean overbites are primarily caused by dental positioning which is corrected with braces
