I like the 2nd option much better. I like slightly messy hair that doesn't look like it's been overly manicured. 2nd option is almost more trendy atm, top hair hasn't been popular with the youth for some time now. Older normies still get a variation of a fade or undercut as the default haircut to the point I hate seing it.
