it honestly depends on the face. if you've got a good fwhr from the front then having hair on the sides of your face that make your face appear wider might fuck it up.

but if your fwhr is unideal then using the sides of your hair to manipulate it's perception is a valid route to go down. this is a simple example, there's probably much more but im too grey to think of any.

ya, im not sure what the exact ratio is but you want it closer to that. Also do not get short if youre not angular or fat or bloated or wtv cope cuz it will show it off very very well.

hmm im recessed and I like longer hairstyles, but I noticed when I let the sides grow it makes me look wider and fatter compared to when they look trimmed (like in the O'Pry pic)
