On social media I've seen some lookmaxxers that people seem to idolize, buying/ordering online guides and defending them against all criticism, even though several other people have shown that their methods are cope or they directly get surgery, but I don't know, I don't dare to make statements if I don't know the subject very well, what do you think?

this is only because they build a following on people’s deep rooted insecurities.
Its like a social media stockholm syndrome.
