This shows how much the "personality" excuse is so often a falsehood. The worst part is a lot of the cruelty is justified as "oh you don't have chemistry", "personality" (when much of the time many women are panicking during a harmless introductory conversation saying "I don't know you!", basically admitting they don't even know anything about the person's personality to make any kind of judgement on it, etc.). It would be a lot easier if they were just upright and honest about wanting good looks, but apparently the appearance of looking open-minded and considerate/understanding/compassionate is more important than actually being open-minded, considerate, and compassionate.

"No means no" is very important and unfortunately there are predators out there who give all men a bad name. But it's gotten to the point where people are being treated cruelly even when they have done nothing romantic or sexual at all (ignoring every comment but that person's on facebook, overly obvious avoidance at perfectly safe public social gatherings with lots of people etc.)

Look I empathize, I like to talk to more attractive people too. But I sure don't treat nonattractive women with the sheer contempt and hatred I and other incels have been treated even when they did nothing wrong. If romantic interest ever comes up gently tell that person it's not reciprocated and treat that person like a human being, and most of the time the person will understand and be grateful for being treated like a human being and not force the issue. If he doesn't, that's when you call law enforcement, do blocking, etc. But not this pre-emptive ghosting stuff that's now so commonplace where most of the time the person doesn't even know what they did wrong (usually because they didn't actually do anything wrong).

The most horrible part about the "personality" excuse is that tons of good looking guys with horrible personalities and even criminal records are justified for having dates for, uh, "personality"? It doesn't even make sense.

It's even more horrifying when it feels you're being treated like an object instead of a person. Is the 20% or whatever higher dopamine level someone would get from a good time indulging her hormones with a taller/more muscular guy really worth treating whole segments of people like dirt? Apparently it is, and that's disheartening.
