If you browse some drug market place, nobody cares, but I'd suspect some really illegal shit will probably require for you to be so fluent with computers in the first place to find such sites, that if you know your stuff, it'd be challenging for authorities to try and track your identity.

Basicly nobody can dox you even if they somehow could grab your ip. Your internet provider won't tell some random guy your information. Of course you're in big trouble though, if you're trying to buy some guns or find child porn to watch or something like that. Otherwise you'll be fine, you won't find anything you're not looking for. There's not like a search engine in the dark web like google, you got to know the address of the website you fancy to visit, click a link or something.
