According to these articles, white people are often racist behind closed doors. Here the term "racist" is quite loosely used to refer to any kind of prejudice that these people might have towards certain ethnicities and most white people do believe in stereotypes and do have prejudices they believe in but unlike ethnics they don't show it. It is not in your face, non-whites are generally unapologetic about their racism. They will openly pass hateful remarks, while whites aren't public about their racism but in private whites do pass derogatory remarks against people of color.
They aren't hateful comments but they generally have a racial and white supremacist undertone. They don't want whites race mixing, don't want too many ethnics in their neighborhoods etc but they never say these things outside of 4 walls of their house because whites like to maintain their moral high ground over ethnics and prefer to have friendly and approachable persona irl but in private, "racist" conversations like these are common in white households, unlike ethnics whites don't show emotions and more strategic with their words
