Middle easterns and Europeans both have vastly different ancestors, that's what matters. Europeans come from ANF, WHG and steppe groups while Middle Easterns mostly from Nafutian farmers, zagrosian farmers and Iranian hunter gatherers and farmers. Their main genetic groups are NOT the same. By a overall autosomal genetic similarly, you could argue they're similar with Europeans as they are both west euasian groups, but you could say the same about every Asian or every other race in the planet.
