Who are the best surgeons for genioplasty

I need a chin shield genioplasty or something that wont make my mentolabial fold deep. I am in Italy but open to go across Europe if needed

Buddy I don't even think you can find a surgeon who knows about chin shield osteotomy it's literally just found only in research articles from 2009 with barely any results online

Also it makes you chin narrower not good for men unless you have an ogre chin

Chin shield is very rare procedure that only few surgeons performed/perform because of the risk of nerve damage and muscle reatachment.

Now users on this forum take it easily like everyone perform it.

Nah there are different surgeons who do it but just call it different names lol.

And also for men if ur doing a custom genio there should be a midline cut of the chin in order to widen at the same time Cus even sliding genio can make ur chin look narrower.

you can't do widening genio without addressing the whole mandible , even a normal conservative genio will make your chin separate from the mandible line to the trained eye. Widening it too will make it even more obvious and yes chin will look narrower in any case i have this exact issue after my genio , kinda regret it tbh since i wasn't severely recessed and only improved my side profile slightly.

not sure what you mean with juxtaposition , but you need to fill the gaps with an implant or bone grafts for sure , even 2-3 mm widening could exagerrate it too much. And yes depends on your jaw width/angle too , the wider it is more noticeable it will be

yeah the best solution might be genio + implant. Genio for vertical lengthening + forward movement, then a custom chin/jaw implant designed to the post-genio bone for width, additional projection, and jawline blending.
