Who did you guys tell about getting surgery

I'm getting the surgeries (fat graft + canthopexy) regardless booked for few weeks from now and so far have only told my dad about it, he doesn't care and only is worried about it being unsafe while im traveling so i guess its fine. The rest of my family and friends know that I'm going on a trip but don't know anything about me getting the procedure and I'll be healed by the time i get back and will try to lie if questioned. My dad is also saying now that he's gna tell my mom because he's worried about my safety during travel so it's kinda annoying me, was i stupid to tell him and can someone share experiences of what happened with people they told if it had any effect longer than a few weeks. I'm sure my mom won't be happy about it but won't stop me I am just worried if she tells people how annoying it will be for me.
