My teeth are very very crooked and I have a narrow palate
I just had 4 wisdom teeth removed. Ortho says I need 4 premolars removed before I can get braces. She said if I don't have them removed, my bimaxillary protrusion will get much worse and I will regret not having them removed

I told her about expansion instead but she said only my upper palate can expand. Not my lower palate. And my lower teeth are even more crowded than my upper

I'm black with lots of bimaxillary protrusion. She said "If you were Caucasian and flat faced, instead of extracting the teeth, I would widen the palate instead but your mouth area is already full"
