Why am I always tired after lunch?

I've noticed a consistent pattern where I feel tired every afternoon after lunch, regardless of what I eat (even meals without carbohydrates). This fatigue has prompted me to explore my eating habits and their impact on my energy levels and sleep.

My Observations:

  • No matter the composition of my lunch, I experience a significant drop in energy around 1-2 PM. This leads me to feel sluggish and unfocused for the rest of the afternoon.
  • To combat this, I've shifted to eating two large meals each day: a substantial breakfast at 7 AM and a large dinner around 6:30 PM. I’ve found that this approach significantly reduces my afternoon fatigue, even when my evening meal is high in calories.

Questions for the Community:

  1. I've read some studies suggesting that eating larger meals earlier in the day can help regulate circadian rhythms and improve sleep quality. Is this something others have experienced?
  2. I’m curious if this is a sustainable approach in the long term. Does anyone have experience with intermittent fasting or similar eating patterns that have positively influenced sleep and energy levels?

I understand. But why does this only happen if I eat at noon?

If I eat a large amount (of carbohydrates) in the evening I don't have this effect

Fuck u. Why did you make the text black?

After consuming a large meal, the body must rest in order to digest it
