is just social anxiety, but u realize that strangers can do nothing to you since you will never see them again (usually)
but the people you know and see everyday may make fun of you if you embarrass yourself

And it also has to do with feeling known. I feel like they know who I am or can read my mind. That’s why I also like to sunglasses when I’m with people I know because they can’t see my eyes and I feel like they don’t know what I’m thinking or feeling

yeah, people you know also know you, and if they see you as a loser you probably wont talk a lot
but with strangers you can be whoever you want to be
i sometimes put on a persona like "yeah i fuck" and they believe me cuz they dont know me at all
