You have to be smart about how you want to become mod.

If you make a thread about wanting people to vouch for you as a mod you come over rather power-hungry to the Admins/Mods, even if you aren't. Which basically excluded you automatically in their eyes.

Hence why if you are serious about becoming mod you should have a good talk with Sergeant in a private conversation.
Probably your best option
