Hollywood stopped making serious ambitious movies for adults (and to a certain extent whites tbh) around 2012-2013, now it's all safe stuff: franchises, remakes, sequels to old stuff, video game adaptations etc. They just pander to kids, China and India. Streaming and Marvel killed Hollywood, and tbh I think movies are dying as a medium.
