Claiming they "invented" these genres is ignorant. Most of the "Black music" was inspired by or drew elements from "White music". Jazz from marching band music, blues from European ballads, ragtime from salon piano, techno from electronic synth-pop, spirituals from Anglo hymns...
Blacks added stuff like polyrhythm and swing to already established white genres.
