Why are height mogs not as brutal as everyone makes them out to be?

As a 5' 8" person, 5' 9.5" with shoes on, I have a 6' 2" friend and today I just noticed that the heightmog is not as brutal as anyone thinks it is.

Yes, he's a confirmed 6' 2". Measured infront of me.
It's not too brutal, only gets brutal when they're 6' 4"+ (got a friend like that and he heightmogs hard).

TLDR: Height mogging isn't too brutal.

IMO a difference of 4 inches isn't too brutal. 8+ it gets rough, but by that point if you're average height then the guy who will mog you height-wise will probably be heightmogging tall dudes too so it's not too big of a deal.

I think this is why when there a bunch of people standing together who are all 5’9 to 6’2 it doesnt seem that there is too much difference. But a 5’6 guy next to a 5’10 guy looks very short. People subconsciously take into account the average height, and what is a socially acceptable height, and make judgments based on that.

i think that below 5'9, your frame gets noticeably smaller and you look smaller in general in comparison to the environment around you(your size vs the size of a chair or a car for example). maybe that's why the heightmog looks so much worse
