Why are indie companies so woke?

Big corporations are woke because they're controlled by (((them))) but that doesn't explain why smaller indie companies (especially gave developers) are also by and large jumping on the woke train. Is there something about being involved with video games that just lowers your testosterone by at least 3000%?

I hate this with games

Basically every female in video games has to automatically be an ogre

Cyberpunk was the only relatively reascent game I can recall without this

Also the pushing gay shit etc

I was never one to care much since I believe authors can tell their story how they want

But it’s become so obvious nowadays when every game has the same shit it’s hard to not see it as just pushing woke agenda

Still doesn't explain why the smaller companies do it. In theory, indies are supposed to be the free-spirited counterpart to the bland mainstream, but instead it seems like 99% of indies are just hipsters chasing trends. It's pretty laughable, honestly.

My hope is that AI will fix this issue by letting people simply create what they want.

I heard some Brazilian guy say something and I agree

The reason companies put this shit In is they Know how big of an influence IGN and all these game reviewers make on consumers

And the ppl who work there are huge liberals so if u make a game to appease them the likelihood of a higher rating and recommendation is huge

U see games like Days Gone where every reviewer teared the game Appart just because the protagonist what’s a hard white male

If this is true it completely destroyes the legitimacy of free market economics. The traditional wisdom is that consumer desire dictates what producers make, but if consumer desire is itself controlled by medial influencers/people of power that means the 'market' is actually more akin to a power structure.

nowadays it’s impossible since if ur not a huge brand like rockstar and make a game that isn’t woke enough metacritic review scores will be low and so many gamers rely on these scores to buy these games

Game devs, people with IQ and interest to even make indie games usually come from a certain background/demographic, upper middle class who usually have liberal views. You don't see this with Japanese indie game, or the massive Chinese india scene


On top of that, indie is more a branding tactic now than anything else. Games with sizable budgets and marketing campaigns are called indie because they're sidescrollers lol

With these eccentric one man devs like notch or Toby fox, some of them will be a bit "problematic" if note entirely based, but they're the exception
