Why are loads of celebrities and companies moving to Texas?

In every video game set in the future in America Texas is its own country. In cyberpunk 2077 and shattered union Texas is its own country called Republic of Texas

I reckon what will happen is that there will be a civil war in America starting 2021 mid January when either trump is declared president or trump or Biden dies via covid or old age or bomb. Whatever happens it will be something that would have to cause chaos. Maybe it will be a new virus deadlier than covid.

So then there will be a civil war the US would split into 6 factions or something and then EU peacekeepers would be put in place and then in the end of all of it America will be united again apart from Texas and perhaps some states surrounding it and they'll be declared as its own country: the Republic of Texas.

Well I am not sure but Texas has recently been growing and sort of becoming the california 2.0. Used to be seen as a sort of hillbilly backwater place but in the past few decades the cities have been growing crazy fast, a bunch of companies are moving their headquarters there. Everyone was moving to California in the early 2010s, but there weren't enough homes built to keep up with demand, so the rents + cost of living went way up and there are now a ton of homeless people in the big CA cities. Texas builds a shitton of suburban homes so they have a cheaper cost of living and less of a problem with homeless addicts shooting up on the sidewalks.

Why

I think its because texas makes things a bit easier on businesses, like with laws and regulations and taxes, but also because california has been stagnating recently in terms of economic development outside of the technology industry and so companies want to move to somewhere new and nicer. The cities in texas like houston and dallas are much nicer than los angeles or san francisco. Less crime and less shitty areas and the cities are just overall taken care of much better
