AASI and ASI are conceptually kind of the same thing. They both refer to the non-West Eurasian genetics present in South Asians. It's an archaeogenetic lineage believed to be linked to Australian Aboriginals, Onge, Papuans, Jomon, etc. Very dark skinned as they were one of the Out of Africa groups that took the most Southward route.
