Why are non-whites still called ethnics?

Why are whites known as whites aka the standard whilst non-whites are ethnics, like outside the standard aka inferior?

Maybe that made sense 60 years ago when there was still segregation, colonisation and whites were 1/3 of the planet's population, but now most white countries have ethnic majority cities, and whites are now just an ethnic group like any other (as they only make up 7% of the world's population)

Tbh that whole vibe sounds like white supremacy to me, which is weird cus whites aren't superior in any way at all

If anything whites are ethnics now like any other race and it will only become more true in the future as the global white percentage decreases further, it's time for things to change

"White" is not a definable, meaningful concept.

ANYTHING that attempts to make something "racial distinction" between Italy, Greece or ANY part of Turkey is absurd. Ironically enough, at points in time, all three have been considered "white" and all three have been considered "non-white". But "biological reality" isn't malleable or based on feelings. It should be defined and based on reality.

Besides, ethnicity has nothing to do with skin colour. It's about sharing a common culture, customs, language and history.

I'd say skin colour matters as well because you know in Latin America there are black Latinos and white Latinos from the same country (eg Colombia, Brazil) with similar everything except history (cus the black Latinos descended from African slaves, but nowadays all races have the same culture), but of course due to their different races, their life experiences are quite different on average despite them both being Latinos
