Why are Pakis / Immigrants obsessed with smartphones?

Looking on Ebay for a cheap used smartphone for use as a backup phone on my trip and nearly all the time the username sounds Paki or Polish. Sharaf_223243 or uzmek_4343

Location always London or Luton (dump).

Everywhere you go, where there's a phone shop or even a market stall selling phone cases and phone shit, it's some paki immigrant behind the counter

Why are these people obsessed with the phone trade?
I have a suspicion it's because Pakis are nearly always closely connected to the criminal (phone theft) industry so they can easily source used phones and parts.

I simply don't want to deal with them. I prefer to deal with a British person.
Llife experience has taught me they are cheaters, con artists, opportunists and profiteers

I don't blame them.. I understand the society in which they originate.. It's dog eat dog in places like India and China and to a lesser extent eastern europe.

idk but the indians in my uni classes are the ultimate tech consumers. literally all of them have apple phone, tablet, watch, earphones and mac. i think it's a conformity thing. indians really seem to feel the need to fit in.

I'm talking about traders and "business" people in the UK.. Nearly all of them online are immigrants
